In The Beginning...

I guess I'll start the process by starting from the beginning of the story. When my grandfather passed away, he left a piece of land to my sister and me. My sister, who has a family and a home, couldn't afford to sell the place she had and build on this newly acquired piece of land. She gave the land over to me so that me and my fiancee Stephanie could build a family home to live in.

This picture is of our shared driveway. I figured I'd let you see what our 'out the front lawn' will look like:



This picture is from a 'caddy-corner' point of view, the house will be facing the main road, but the driveway we'll be sharing. This picture was taken in the spring, so you can't see the fields of corn, but you can imagine them there. :)



Let me try and explain this aerial Google Map picture for you:

• The thin yellow line is the main road we'll be living on.
• The thick blue line is the driveway we'll be sharing with other people.
• The yellow circle is a neighbor; the house once belonged to my grandparents.
• The green circle is my great grandparent's home, my dad grew up here.
• The red line is where my shared driveway will be (this will be part of another fun post in the future).
